NHS football players make commitments. Kyle Beane has announced that he will continue his
football playing career by attending Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. Whitworth has tabbed Beane as a quarterback
on their future 2010 roster. Whitworth is coming off a 5 - 5 season in the difficult Northwest Conference and plays schools
such as Williamette, Lewis and Clark, and Linfield College. The Whitworth Pirates are an NCAA Division III school and will
travel to Southern California during the 2010 season to play Pomona Pitzer (Claremont) and the University of Redlands.
David Woolbert has announced that he will continue his football playing career by attending the University of Redlands
in Redlands, California. The University of Redlands is coming off of a 7 - 2 season and the Bulldogs play in the always competitive
Southern California Intercollegiate Conference Association. Redlands is also an NCAA Division III school and Woolbert, will
join 2006 Northwood High School graduate, Dan Selway, who plays quarterback for the Bulldogs. Selway enters his final season
at Redlands and stands to rewrite the passing records at Redlands. Important Dates
for 2010 - Summer camp: July 5th until August 4th
- Varsity & JV practice begins: August 18th
- Freshman practice begins: August. 23
- Scrimmages:
Friday, Sept. 3
- Labor day practices (all levels): Monday, Sept. 6 - 8 am - 12 noon
- 1st games: Thursday,
Sept. 9 & Friday, Sept. 10
